What can we learn from the church in Ephesus?

1. God has the power to create a church where there is no church (Acts).

2. God calls us to be faithful in worship of him and leave the results of our labors up to him (Acts 18).

3. God uses churches to reach the surrounding cities, not just their own (Acts 19.10).

4. God wants us to long for the power and holiness of the name of Lord Jesus to be extolled (Acts 19.17).

5. God has given us an example of reaching a town by boldly teaching repentance and faith publicly and from house to house (Acts 20.20-21).

6. God will call us to account for whether or not we declare the whole counsel of God (Acts 20.26).

7. God creates the church to defend the gospel and guard the truth (1 Timothy 1.3).

8. God will remove any church that does not maintain its love for him and repent (Revelation 2.4-5).

9. God will reach the unreached peoples of the world by churches who send out men and women for the sake of his name (Bible).
